The first step to see if we are the right firm for your case is at your initial consultation. During this consultation we meet, either in person or telephonically, with you to discuss in depth your circumstances. This time is also valuable for you to get to know our staff to make sure that you are absolutely comfortable with us. There is a $300 flat fee for the initial consultation, regardless of the length of the consultation. The initial consultation is not a commitment to represent you. We accept cash, personal checks or credit cards, as well as PayPal. Ronne's hourly rate is $315.00. Associates are billed between $250.00 and $300.00 per hour. Paralegals are billed at $125.00 per hour and Legal Assistants are billed at $90.00 per hour.
At the conclusion of the consultation, we will quote a retainer fee which is based on the complexities of the case. If we are both comfortable and ready to move forward together, a signed fee agreement and paid fee will result in the retention of The Kaplan Family Law Firm. We will then begin preparing any necessary documents or other work, depending on the protocol of the case.
